We are not “ideological” vegans.  We are “practical” vegans in that we have experienced, as a practical matter, the healing power of plant-based food.  But, it took us a while to come to this conviction.

You can read our full story here, but put simply, it is my hope to show that being a vegan is not a sacrifice, but rather the next step toward ultimate refinement of taste.  This is good news for those who strive for health through good eating, rather than through medication, fad diets or food deprivation.  Through the years, I have met many non-vegans who wanted to try this way of life but just could not imagine what they could possibly eat without animal products.  My resources – this site, my book –  can be viewed as a “starter kit” for all those who want to make this transition.  The added value of the book is that it contains only no-fat/no-sugar added recipes that can work miracles in the lives of those with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and digestive and colon issues.

This site, and the VegaNiche community, will serve as an information base for vegans and non-vegans alike. Here I will share information about unique ingredients, like kala namak, and open dialogues for us to learn from each other.
